“Mentoring students in the geosciences is an privilege I enjoy and cherish. Helping the next generation of geoscientists formulate questions and work toward problem solving is rewarding beyond measure. I am fortunate because, as campus director of undergraduate research and creativity, I have the opportunity to help promote faculty -driven student scholarship on our campus. I feel these efforts help keep me abreast of current trends in student engagement across the disciplines.”
